An excellent Head of Finance opportunity has arisen in Grimsby for a suitably qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with previous experience of working at Head of Finance/Finance Director level.

THE ROLE

-Reporting to the CEO, you will assume responsibility for ensuring that all financial strategic objectives are reached and that a high standard of flow of information is delivered to the stakeholders
-You will motivate and lead a team of 25 staff, mainly in accounts and a mixture of ledger and payroll staff, general accounts clerks and accounts assistants
-Producing and presenting the monthly management accounts to agreed deadlines and ensure that the budgets and management accounts accurately reflect the business activity.
-Consolidation of the accounts year end into Company House format and oversee the fixed asset register, accruals and pre payments
-Develop, drive and maintain the company financial KPIs and take responsibility for all statutory reporting, compliance, annual accounts and VAT

THE CANDIDATE

-Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) you will have previously worked in a Head of Finance or Finance Director role and have excellent management and leadership skills
-Ideally you will have worked in a business services/professional services environment although candidates from other sectors are welcome to apply with the required level of experience and qualification
-Deadline focused, proactive and demonstrably motivational to manage a team, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels and a high degree of systems literacy
